Trading in one iron horse for another. |
Sixty-one years
and I still don't know
Anything I wanted more than love
I might not get what I want,
But I'll have what I need
Fill my bowl with family
Always packed, I'm ready to ride
Feel the vibrations deep inside
Me and my Shadow own the road
Ax on my back, and I'm never alone
Gotta make my own peace
Wanna live until I die
Wheels turn with every heartbeat
Under the big sky
On my iron horse I ride
Wind thru my hair so satisfying
On the road making new friends
Guitar in my hand and
I'm ready to dance
— Zanne Mack
Zanne Mack is a talented musician from San Francisco. Along with her poetry, Zanne brings joy to us when she performs on stage, singing her own songs while evoking the ghosts of other talented souls.
She was one of the first to embrace and contribute to the Bar None project. Zanne's poetry has appeared in each of the three Bar None Group anthologies. Today, on her birthday we celebrate Zanne and her poetry with a poem she wrote on her birthday. Who's ready to dance?
