Our Own Shadow by Carolynn Unknown

Nuestra sombra.

I'm getting out from my own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.

Pushing and breaking from my own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.
And I-I-I have to lose my wall.
Lose my block. Lose my cage.

Oh I-I-I have to lose the lies.
Oh if-if-if...I won't have denial any more.

And I-I-I have to lose my fears...
If my band-aids all fall off.

Yes I-I-I have to shed this jail.
Oh if-if-if...I won't be burier any more.

Yes, I'm getting out from my own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.

Pushing and breaking from my own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.

And I-I-I have to find my legs.
I am weak, and I am scared.

Oh I-I-I have to find my spine.
Of, if-if-if...I won't have to hide any more.

And I-I-I have to find my voice.
Use that voice, loud and strong.

Yes I-I-I have to speak my mind.
Oh if-if-if...I have found me.

Did it take long to find me?
I say, oh, thirty years.

Did it take long to find me?
And I don't regret the ride.

I'm getting out from my own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.

Pushing and breaking from my own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.

Own shadow, own shadow.
Own shadow, own shadow.
