Un Tope en mi Vida

Tope: A Mexican speed bump.

I’m not looking for Disneyland
Although I’d love to see my old friends again
I’m not looking to drink margaritas in Paradise
Although I swear Chynna’s libations are heaven sent
I’ve never looked for perfection…probably the reason
I’m in the mess I’m in
And I’m not looking for something new
I’ve done that time and time again

I wasn’t looking for anything
Except to soak my fat ass
In warm, salty, ocean water
Ease my aching bones, smoke a little grass
It’s often said, love comes when least expected
And yes, it’s come to pass
Sweet Costalegre, a love like ours, forever lasts
      Siempre.
