You

You,
who are my compass, my spirit,
who guides me through this amazement,
even without my knowing.
You, who leads me to drink the sweet water
that flows so freely in the rivers of your soul.
You, who nourish me with the flesh of your being
as my sustenance.
You, who widen my eyes
that I might glimpse you
in all of the faces that pass before me.
You, whose face I see
in all the stars in the heavens above,
in the beauty of every sunset over the sea,
in every leaf on every tree.
You, whose reflection I have seen
in the tears of a child
in need of your embrace
through me,
as I have also needed.
You, who have given me the breath of your life,
that I might return it to you,
and thus live in your heart,
in your love eternal.
