Take Two: A Poem by Denise Chatelain

this loneliness
this lack of trust
belief in separation
has created this
allowance of abuse

struggling to forgive
anger from the blindness
disregarding
the hollow sound
of my soul
moaning,

but it's a spiral dance
circular mourning
deeper
each time....

In these wounds
beams of light
spreading out
from the inside

Christ you know it ain't easy!

my own authority
wisdom of
the heart
messages
on the waves
of resonance

no more
deceptive
clouds
blocking
the sun
of what I am
what you are
love,
just that
all that,
love.
