A Little Poem

Chuck wandering home from his favorite haunt — Chynna's Backstage Bar.

This little poem is all about Chuck
Who left the world — the bloody schmuck

O Chuck, he was a smart feller
And quite the story teller

Shock is mostly how you felt
Weaving his tales like a leather belt

Miss his laughs, miss his hugs
He loved women and their jugs

We hope that wherever you are now — up or down
They're not making you wear a fancy gown.

    Love u Chuck!

A Little Poem was read by the author at a memoriam for Charles Longstreet at Chynna's Backstage Bar in Barra de Navidad, Mexico December 29, 2013. This poem is included in the next Bar None Group anthology available in the fall of 2014. Dedicated to Chuck, the anthology of prose and poetry from his beloved Costalegre is appropriately titled, Last Call. Charles Longstreet (1947-2013) was a co-founder of the Bar None Group.
