Anna Maria
A name
is written with a sea shell
on the back of your thigh
as gulls cry overhead
Northern skin
pass upon your lips
as a thousand miles of memories
touch down upon your shore
Turquoise eyes
shine bright between the passing clouds
dancing to tropical rhythms
barefoot in white sands
Tattooed nylons
topped with a bow
reach for a baby's bottle
as love for some...fades
Anna Maria
is but a moment on a Floridian coast
shared yesterday and tomorrow
but for now we bend as one in the breeze
